Hawthorn, Melbourne

Event Description
The vision for Vaporetto was inspired by many trips to this beautiful part of the world and wanting to create something that embodies old school hospitality filled with warmth, generosity and charm. We were particularly drawn to Venice for the art, culture, romance, mystery, and the rich, fascinating history associated with controlling the spice trail for centuries. Venetian food is like Italian food without rules! And let’s face it, who doesn’t love Venice?

40-50YRSA hidden gem! Parkdale probably isn’t the first place that springs to mind when you think of high-end Italian food. But with their smart-casual restaurant and bar, Buono, co-owners Fabio Magliano, Cinzia Buono and head chef Daniele Ruffolo clearly have other ideas about the quiet seaside suburb. The trio has nailed the seaside brief by filling the space with marine hues. Think teal banquette seating, white painted brick walls, and aqua bar tiling laid to invoke the Mediterranean Sea.

Railway Club Hotel
Port Melbourne, Melbourne
40-50YRSThe Railway Club Hotel has remained one of the busiest dining rooms in Melbourne for over 40 years. Its atmosphere and ambiance has stood the test of time. No pretence, just true Port Melbourne style. Set within one of a former historic hotel, The Railway Club Hotel is a little piece of Victorian history. With a total revamp inside, there's a public bar at the entrance, and private dining rooms upstairs. As would be expected from a quality steakhouse, there are linen draped tables and plenty of polished wooden finishes throughout the restaurant.
