Take your seat at a table in the glasshouse, to enjoy an evening of conversation and connection. Named simply after the size of the land, Half Acre is nestled within the booming precinct of South Melbourne. The space feels like a friend’s dinner party, with bentwood and wicker chairs, spare tableware is stacked under a huge island bench and sculptural light fixtures. Railway Club Hotel
Port Melbourne, Melbourne
50-60YRSThe Railway Club Hotel has remained one of the busiest dining rooms in Melbourne for over 40 years. Its atmosphere and ambiance has stood the test of time. No pretence, just true Port Melbourne style. Set within one of a former historic hotel, The Railway Club Hotel is a little piece of Victorian history. With a total revamp inside, there's a public bar at the entrance, and private dining rooms upstairs. As would be expected from a quality steakhouse, there are linen draped tables and plenty of polished wooden finishes throughout the restaurant.
